Thomas Lewis made history for 409 Swim by becoming the program’s first athlete to compete at the high school level. His achievement marked an important milestone, showing that the training and dedication within 409 Swim could successfully prepare athletes for the next stage of competition.
Known for his strong work ethic and commitment in the pool, Thomas set an example for younger swimmers in the program. He demonstrated that with consistent practice, discipline, and confidence, it’s possible to transition from a local swim club to representing a high school team.
His accomplishment didn’t just reflect personal success—it also helped raise the profile of 409 Swim as a developing program. By breaking that barrier, Thomas opened the door for future swimmers to follow in his path, inspiring others to pursue competitive swimming at higher levels.
Thomas Lewis is currently a Junior at Beaumont West Brook High School.
